This is essentially an archive of my published writing. It contains interviews, book reviews, feature articles and opinion pieces across a range of subjects, from artisans in Lahore to Malian musicians to date farmers in southern Tunisia. These pieces have been published in different magazines and newspapers from the Guardian, the Financial Times, the Times Literary Supplement to The East African. I currently work for the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime, assessing migration dynamics in Libya. The best way to contact me is via email, at: hcwsjohnstone(at)gmail.com.
